How do I know if Amigo Energy provides electric service in my area?

That’s easy, call 1-855-784-8156 to find out for sure if we offer electric service in your Texas town. Chances are we do.

Will there be an interruption in my electric service if I switch to Amigo Energy?

Nope, once we finalize your contract, we contact the Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP). If you call before 2pm CT and you have a smart meter, we can switch you over the same day you call.

How much does it cost to start electric service or switch electric companies to Amigo Energy?

Amigo Energy doesn’t charge you anything to start or switch your electric service. In some cases, your Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP) will charge you a fee.

How do I enroll my business?

Small businesses can start by calling 1-888-469-2644 so that one of our energy advisors can get you an accurate quote. Likewise, large businesses can call 1-888-959-9299 and select the commercial sales option.

What is the default month-to-month electric rate?

After your contract ends, your energy rate defaults to a variable rate as determined by Amigo Energy.

How can I pay my Amigo Energy bill?

Lots of ways: through the My Amigo online portal, by using Quick Pay, by choosing an alternative payment method like a Barri pay station, or by calling 1-888-997-1899 today. Payments are accepted via Credit/Debit cards and also ACH transfers.

What is My Amigo?

My Amigo is our handy-dandy online portal that you can use to manage your account, monitor your energy usage, and pay your bill. It allows you to access your account from your phone or tablet via our My Amigo app, or your desktop computer.

Who do I call in the case of an emergency or power outage?

Call your Transmission and Distribution Service Provider (TDSP). If you don’t know who your TDSP is and you live in Houston, chances are that you’ll need to call CenterPoint. Also, don’t forget that your TDSP should be listed on your bill. In either case, here are the numbers of the four TDSPs that operate in Texas:
